FIRE ADAPTED COMMUNITY
The Rincon Valley Fire District was recently awarded a FEMA Fire Prevention and Safety grant to implement our first-ever Wildfire Risk Reduction Program. We are launching a campaign to help residents understand simple ways to reduce wildfires and protect their homes. Help us make Vail a Fire Adapted Community by signing-up for a home assessment and leading on fire safety in your neighborhood.
Home assessments are a free service offered to our residents in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI). Our firefighters will meet with you at your home to evaluate your property for wildfire hazard and help you create an action plan. To request a home assessment, click here.
